Wine description: Vigorous, with plenty of stuffing, firm tannins and a mineral echo – with a huge life ahead
Location: Rabenkropf: The Single Vineyard Rabenkropf is one of the best sites of Neckenmarkt. There we have ideal conditions to produce very finessful Blaufränkisch wines, which reflect the very special soil. The wines need to be aged for several years and have a very good ageing potential.
Soil: loamy slate, limestone in the bottom
Winemaking: The grapes have been picked very selective by hand. Traditionally fermatation on the skins, malolactic fermatation and aging in new barriques for two years.
Drinking temperature: 16°C
Drinking description: Pigeon breast in the salt crust, Saddle of venison with pear croquettes, Roast lamb, steak
